Di origine franco-austriaca, cresciuto in ambiente musicale (madre contralto lirico), Carlo Francesco Defranceschi si è diplomato con il massimo dei voti in 'Composizione' , 'Pianoforte' e 'Clarinetto' presso il Conservatorio di Musica 'Giuseppe Verdi' di Torino. Ha completato un corso superiore in ‘Composizione Contemporanea’ presso il Conservatorio di Mantova ed un master di alto perfezionamento Jazz a Busto Arsizio. Ha conseguito parallelamente la Laurea in Filosofia ad indirizzo Teoretico-Logico Matematico presso l'Università degli Studi di Torino. Ha ottenuto numerosi riconoscimenti presso prestigiosi Concorsi Internazionali di Composizione. Docente di 'Armonia e Composizione', ha insegnato presso il Conservatorio 'Lucio Campiani' di Mantova ed attualmente collabora come Docente presso Conservatori ed Istituti Musicali Superiori di Lombardia, Veneto e Sicilia. Nel 2006, secondo Jazz Italia Note il proprio Quartetto si classifica al quinto posto nella Top Ten degli Ensemble di Jazz italiani.  Annovera prestigiosi concertisti tra i propri interpreti. Per gli anni 2017-19 parteciperà alla  ‘ANTONIO SALIERI CRITICAL EDITION’ ( https://salieriedition.com/edition-board/  ) per ‘L'Angiolina, ossia Il matrimonio per sussurro’, ‘Cesare in Farmacusa’ e ‘Falstaff, ossia le tre burle’. L’Opera di Carlo F. Tra queste in particolare evidenza in Messico con ‘Hiéroglyphes pour une éclipse, esquisse pour accordéon et orchestre’,  presso il Conservatorio di Parigi con ‘Plénitude archétypale, contrepoints pour clavecin’, ‘Intimités dévoilées, atmosphères pour clavecin’, ‘Pour que la lumière y glisse, fugue pyramidale pour clavecin et piano’, 'Impressions d'après un haiku, images pour clavecin et piano', con l’ Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo ‘Perspectives audacieuses selon Mozart, esquisse pour orchestre symphonique’, ‘Archets désobéissants, divertissement pour orchestre’ e ‘Prairies polychromes, esquisse pour guitare et orchestre symphonique’, in Giappone con  ‘Stabat Mater par un agnostique, pour soprano, contralto, chœur et orchestre'..
 

Carlo Francesco Defranceschi is a composer and multi-player. Grown within a musical background (his mother was a French contralto singer), Carlo Francesco attended the Conservatoire “Giuseppe Verdi” in Turin where he took both a Composition, a Piano and a Clarinet Diploma with honours. He also attended some Contemporary Composition Masters in Mantua, at the local Conservatoire. He improved his musical education thanks to a National Specialization Master to refine his jazz technique in Busto Arsizio. While he was carrying out his musical studies, Carlo Francesco also graduated in Philosophy with theoretical and logical-mathematical orientation at the University of Turin. He has been rewarded in several International Composition Contests. Since the academic year 2006/2007, he is a music master at the Conservatoire ‘Lucio Campiani’ in Mantua and, currently, he works together with conservatoires and music schools in Lombardia, Veneto and Sicily.  For years 2017-19 he is a member of  the  ‘ANTONIO SALIERI CRITICAL EDITION’ Edition Board  ( https://salieriedition.com/edition-board/  ).  Moreover, Carlo Francesco sometimes gives his contribution to a well-known record company and in 2011 some of his compositions were broadcast by the Russian National Radio. His contemporary music compositions for the piano, classical guitar, wind and string ensembles have been recorded by famous performers. According to the Jazz Italia Notes magazine, in 2006 his quartet was placed fifth in the Top Ten of the Italian Jazz Groups.
